AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES
Multiple Sclerosis ~ Mark Jones
When I was eleven years old I ran into a tree. That evening I ran into the
furniture and a wall. I had problems with my co-ordination, falling and tripping. I
tried to cover it up by saying it was my shoes. My parents were concerned and
wanted me to see a pediatric neurologist. After a period of almost 4 years, two
neurologists and another doctor determined I had MS. I was in a lot of pain and
had difficulty speaking, seeing and writing. I cried and prayed but never got any
relief. While in junior high I considered suicide. I was on so many drugs that
caused side effects in my stomach, legs and eyes that I could not take it
anymore. In 1987 while home alone I had access to a gun, I held it to my
temple and considered killing myself.
The turn around started in 1998. I was praying everyday and an angel
answered my call, her name was Angie. She was a friend of my sister and she
came to my rescue. She told me she had seen hundreds of testimonies of
people getting better from different illnesses, including MS. After hearing this I
was very elated and began taking Glyconutrients. In approximately 3 weeks I
noticed a big difference. I could lift my up my eyes all the way.
I started to speak better. That was the only thing I was taking besides a
bedtime med and I stopped taking it after a while. I started working out to build
my up physically to help offset the damage done by MS. I then started getting
into body building and weight lifting. I now hold 6 body building and 2 weight
lifting championships for the physically challenged and continue to improve.
At the age of 15 Mark was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. His family was told that Mark’s
type of MS would only get worse and worse. At 21 he had 25-40% brain damage due to
lesions on his brain. From canes to crutches to crawling inside his home, things did get
worse. In 1997 his legs gave up and then he needed assistance 90% of the
time. His eyesight went from single vision to bifocal glasses. However, due to
Marks inner strength and determination and proper nutrition with the
assistance of Glyconutrients he is able to proudly display his sculptured
physique to an appreciative audience.
Lupus
I was a basically healthy adult when I was overcome with a serious illness in
January 2000 that would remain a mystery until June of that year. Then came
the definitive diagnosis: systemic lupus, one of the most destructive
autoimmune diseases. Almost that entire year was marked by migraine
headaches, red and swollen joints, angina, mouth sores and unbearable
full-body pain that reached an apex on november 28, when I wrote in my
journal, "can't move, everything hurts." Serendipity intervened on that very
day when I received a call from my aunt. When she heard of my condition,
she mentioned she had heard of "this new product" and a doctor who
worked with it. That day, I was in touch with him and the next day I was on
glyconutrients. The following day, there was less pain and my mouth sores
had diminished. My journal records ups and downs, good days and bad, but
steady progress. Finally, on January 2, 2001, my journal trumpets "woke up
pain-free!" After that, some pages are empty because "I'm too busy living"
and January 18 documents: "more energy every day, no aches, no pains, no
sores." My blood tests show no indicators of lupus. "I can live again. I have a
life!
Rheumatoid arthritis
Five years ago I began to swell in different joints. My right arm was
constantly swollen from my hand up to my elbow. The pain and stiffness
gradually worsened. I literally hurt from the top of my head to the bottom of
my feet. It was painful to brush my teeth and to comb my hair. I became so
weak I couldn't lift the sheet off me in the morning. After three months of
trying every vitamin available, I made an appointment to see a
rheumatologist. The diagnosis was fibromyalgia. He gave me a cortisone shot
because my left hand was so swollen my wedding band was cutting into my
finger. I had four to six weeks reprieve from the pain. In the months that
followed I pursued natural remedies. I would endure three horrible months of
pain and then be slightly better for the next three months. This pattern
continued until someone sent me information on a formula for fibromyalgia.
Within twenty-four hours I was much better, and I continued to improve for
almost a year. Then, in February 1998, completely out of the blue, I got sick
again. I endured three horrible months of pain and stiffness. I was barely
able to function. I kept thinking I could overcome this again - but nothing I
took made the slightest difference. I finally went to another rheumatologist.
He said he couldn't do anything for the fibromyalgia except prescribe muscle
relaxants and/or antidepressants. I wanted neither. Later that evening he
called me about the results of some blood tests he had ordered. He wanted
to see me immediately. My SED rate was 100 (normal is 0 to 20), and the
other tests results were elevated too. He started me on Prednisone and
Plaquenil, with a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. He ordered the strategies,
I could feel a setback in my health. I feel significantly better now - and am
only taking 2.5 milligrams of Prednisone now. I still have a ways to go - but
the last two months I have felt almost normal - a feeling I did not imagine I
would ever again have a retest for lupus. Because I was in such feeble pain,
I agreed to the medications - in hope of some relief. Within twenty-four hours
my pain had lessened. However, as the pain subsided and I was able to
think more clearly, I knew I had to get off these medications. I had gained
forty pounds from the Prednisone. I feared the toxicity of the meds. That
night I sat at my computer and prayed to God for guidance in finding relief.
Eventually I came upon information on glyconutrients. I decided to try them. I
immediately felt an improvement in my energy level. Whenever I slacked off
using the strategies, I could feel a setback in my health. I feel significantly
better now - and am only taking 2.5 milligrams of Prednisone now. I still have
a ways to go - but the last two months I have felt almost normal - a feeling I
did not imagine I would ever have again.
